Mineral industry index and product quality requirements for zeolite

(I) General industrial requirements for deposits In China, the industrial use of zeolites is still in the exploratory stage, and there are also problems in mineral quantification and beneficiation and purification. The interference factors used in the determination of NH 4 + and K + exchanges are more . Therefore, the initial evaluation indicators are:
(1) Boundary indicators (equivalent to cut-off grades)
The K + exchange amount is ≥10 mg/g±, or the NH4+ exchange amount is ≥100 mmol/100 g± (approximately 40% of the total zeolite).
(2) Industrial indicators (equivalent to the lowest industrial grade)
The K + exchange amount is ≥ 13 mg / g ±, or the NH 4 + exchange amount is ≥ 130 mmol / 100 g ± (equivalent to 55% of the total amount of zeolite).
(3) The ore with a K + exchange capacity <13 mg/g or an NH4+ exchange amount >130 mmol/100 g is additionally circled, the reserves are calculated separately, and the type of the zeolite mineral is determined as much as possible.
(4) When the K + exchange amount is 10~13 mg/g, the NH4+ exchange amount is 100~130 mmol/100g± as the surface mineral.
(5) Mining technical conditions Minimum recoverable thickness: 2m; stone removal thickness: ≥1m.
(6) Others 1 There must be a certain number of samples, and X-ray diffraction, infrared absorption spectroscopy, differential thermal analysis, electron microscopy and rock ore identification are used to determine the type and approximate content of zeolite in the ore.
2 Combined with the characteristics of zeolite, select some representative samples to determine the physicochemical properties such as specific surface area, pore size and adsorption.
3 Select a certain number of samples for chemical analysis.
2. China's natural zeolite evaluation recommended industrial indicators (according to Qian Zulian, etc.)

3. Examples of industrial indicators of zeolite deposits (1) Silver mine zeolite minerals in Jiutai County, Jilin Province Ammonium absorption value: boundary index ≥50mmol/100g; industrial index ≥70mmol/100g. The thickness can be ≥1m, and the thickness of the stone is ≥2m.
(2) The Dadingshan zeolite mine in Changchun City, Jilin Province The ammonium absorption value: the boundary index ≥50mmol/100g; the nugget index ≥70mmol/100g. The thickness can be ≥1m, and the thickness of the stone is ≥2m.
(II) Product quality requirements The relevant fields at home and abroad mainly require zeolite rock from the following aspects:
A. Types of zeolite: It is first required to determine the type of zeolite, whether it is clinoptilolite or mordenite, chabazite, calcium cross zeolite, flaky zeolite, erionite, analcime or the like.
B. Zeolite content: refers to the total content of zeolite minerals in zeolite rock and the percentage of various zeolite minerals.
C, ion exchange capacity: such as NH 4 +, K +, Na
+, heavy metal ions and radioactive Cs 2+, Rb + ion exchange capacity and the like.
D. Adsorption performance: refers to the ability to adsorb CO 2 , SO 2 , nitrogen oxide tail gas (NOX), ammonia (NH 3 ), free CaO, pesticides, water, and the like.
E. Chemical composition: such as SiO 2 , Al 2 O 3 , SO 3 , surface water, and the like.
F. Associated mineral components: determine the type and requirements of its content (such as the requirements for mineral content such as montmorillonite, feldspar , quartz ).
G, zeolite pore size: different zeolites have different effective pore sizes, and the largest molecules that can be adsorbed are also different. For example, the natural mordenite of Lanshikou in Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province belongs to a large pore size, which can adsorb benzene molecules, and its benzene absorption is synthetic. 53% of the large pore size mordenite. The Soviet Union also classified zeolites according to the effective diameter of the zeolite and the largest adsorbed molecules. [next]

China's zeolite rock is currently mainly used in local small cement industry. According to its special needs, the cement industry has developed a new standard GB2847-81 for “ volcanic ash mixed materials used in cement”, which is used by relevant departments and can of course be used for evaluation by the geological department. The standard specifies the requirements of sulfur trioxide content, volcanic ash and cement mortar sand 28-day compressive strength, but does not specify the zeolite content or ammonium ion exchange capacity of zeolite rock as one of the pozzolanic mixed materials. Claim. The correspondence between the latter (zeolite content or ammonium ion exchange capacity) and the former (volcanic ash and cement mortar 28-day compressive strength) is also to be further studied. Despite this, the evaluation index of zeolite rock used by China's geological department and other relevant units (including some provincial building materials industry bureaus, etc.) is still mainly ammonium ion (NH4+) exchange capacity or zeolite content value, which is mainly based on the following reasons A: In most applications (or tests) except the cement industry, the industrial requirements for NH4+ exchange capacity or zeolite content are proposed for zeolite ore; B. The Institute of Geology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has proposed zeolite with ≥50% zeolite content. Rock can be used as a high-quality mixed material for cement; C, the actual results of the application and production of zeolite cement in various places; D, the determination and use of such indicators is relatively simple and easy.
